Born in Beyşehir, Konya, Sezgi Şenol Tuna completed his primary education at Gazi Primary School, secondary education at Beyşehir Ali Akkanat Anatolian High School and then got into the science high school. In 2003, Tuna started her undergraduate study at the Faculty of Dentistry of Gazi University. Afterwards, she studied for doctorate and specialty at the Department of Pedodontics of Ankara University and became one of the founding members of Dentalis. She completed her doctoral dissertation on the evaluation of involvement, microleakage and adaptations of different fissure sealants applied on contaminated enamel surfaces through saliva and moisture and assumed the titles of doctor of science and doctor of dental surgery.  She attended trainings and conferences in many countries. She has a great number of scientific articles and posters. Tuna is a member of various scientific organizations, including Turkish Pedodontics Association (TPD), and Turkish Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EDAD). She studies on cosmetic dentistry, protective dentistry, mouth and tooth trauma and injuries, pediatric dentistry, canal treatment, dental bleaching and cosmetic countering.
