İlker Bacaksız was born in Rize in 1980. He completed his primary education at Antalya Gazi Mustafa Kemal Primary School, and then secondary and high school education at Antalya Anatolian High School. In 1998, he got into the Faculty of Dentistry of Hacettepe University. In 2005, he began his academic life as Ph.D. student / research associate at the Department of Prosthodontics of Gazi University. In 2011, he became the doctor of science with his dissertation on improving the passive fit of dental implant bars with laser welding.
After registering his Prosthodontist Dentistry with the Ministry of Health in the same year, he started working at private clinics in Ankara.  Since November of 2013, he serves at Antera Dental Clinic as the founder. Focusing his studies mainly on tailor-made and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. İlker Bacaksız is interested in travelling, photography and outdoor sports like paragliding in his spare times.
